Just wanted to say thank you for a great time Friday night. Patrick had a great time! He talked about it all day yesterday! At first when we got there he was scared and started crying and wanted to go home, and to be honest I felt bad for him and almost did leave. Then one of the guys helping out noticed Pat sitting with me crying. He came over and asked Pat to come over with him and have a catch with the ball. Pat was fine after that. It was so nice and something I will never forget. Thanks for everything you guys do!

Dylan's excitement hasn't lessoned any, which is awesome! :) Dylan has been practicing baseball since the baseball clinic and has been non-stop talking about his "Pirates" team. Dylan has been wearing his red AHA baseball cap with pride, he has his baseball stance down to a science and surprisingly has a good hit, especially for a 6-year-old! Thanks again for everything!

This program needs to be recognized for their excellence. They treat all people with outstanding dignity. They fulfilled a void in my son's life that I alone would have never been able to fulfill. I was so incredibly proud of Sean that night.  The people involved in this program, no matter how big or little their role, touch the lives and hearts of both our children and their parents in a way I don't think could ever be explained in words. However, I would like to thank them for the best two nights of my son's life. I will never forget them, nor will I ever forget the people and the wonderful program that made it happen, ATHLETES HELPING ATHLETES.

We love the picture you gave to Jen. It is awesome! The smile and glow on Jen’s face tells the story. Jen was a bit bummed that she didn’t have a chance to say Thank You as she apparently got the picture after you left… so Thank You from Jen! It is absolutely amazing how moments such as Athletes Helping Athletes can have such an impact in lives, and not only for the Special Needs Athletes, but also for those that help out. Denise and Jen still talk about the experience to this day. Not sure if you were aware or not, but based on the time spent with your program and with these fine people, Jen discovered a bit about herself and how helping others can bring a sense of goodness, self-worth and satisfaction that is hard to match. These experiences are helping her understand what she wants to pursue as a career path. It’s funny how God’s graces and plans are realized… start out with the purpose of helping others and in the process find out what really makes you feel good.

I just wanted to say "thank you" for a well planned Baseball Spring Training Day. Dylan had a great time this morning and hasn't stopped practicing since he came home this afternoon. We were quite surprised to get the nice baseball bag filled with some baseball equipment to get him started. Dylan has been wearing his hat, t-shirt, glove, sweatbands and medal for over 6 hours now. He has been practicing everything he learned today, even the little cheer his group/"team" did, "GO PIRATES!" He is already planning on sleeping with his new attire. :) Dylan's confidence is through the roof right now, thank you for making my son's weekend! The impact you are making on the athletes' lives, not to mention the dozens of volunteers who are learning compassion and acceptance is priceless and simply amazing! Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication to making a difference in the lives of everyone around you!

Dearest Members of the Neshaminy Girls Basketball Team:

On behalf of Pat Sr., Ryan and I many, many thanks to each of you and AHA-Inc for an amazing experience honoring our son as Honorary Captain on Tuesday, January 17. Ryan was very hesitant to attend but with some coaxing made it to the event. There aren’t enough social activities to support his efforts to productively socialize, so please understand that it wasn’t that he wasn’t touched by being asked. BUT… lo and behold as soon as he made it onto the court, he lit up like a Christmas tree! In addition, he reveled in your happy, smiling, acknowledging faces and Pat and I will be forever grateful. Although it was a loss for you that evening, you can rest assure Ryan will retain the events forever and with a tender fondness. Thanks again and God bless

AHA has been a tremendous experience and opportunity for our family. It was a key to unlocking one of the many doors that we feared may never open for our son. On behalf of TJ and all of the other special needs athletes, I would like to personally thank all the volunteers, special needs Athletes, student athletes, cheerleaders, and all of their parents who together have given us this opportunity and made the Athletes Helping Athletes program so successful. Thank you too to all of the golfers who came out today to support this program. Because of all of you, the potential for this program and for our children is endless, and with your continued support this program will continue to provide amazing opportunities for special needs athletes for years to come.

I wanted to let you know how unbelievable this past football season has been. The connections that John has made with the kids on the Wood football team, the students and even some of the parents have been amazing. Every week he gets a couple of friend requests on Facebook from the kids from Wood. They have even invited him to their football banquet. I'm not sure who is enjoying this more, John, or my husband and I. My husband and I have also made new friends. It has just been a wonderful experience. We are already looking forward to next year.
